The Franca takes the classic cork-latex footbed and adds a foam layer on top — you get the contoured arch and deep heel cup with immediate out-of-the-box softness, plus three slim adjustable buckles for a fine-tuned fit. Great pick if you want Birkenstock support without the stiff break-in. Trade-off: the soft footbed cushions more than it corrects — it won't replace a firm orthotic, and the fixed footbed can't take one either.
